A Blessingway is an ancient Navajo ceremony used to acknowledge, celebrate and honour a woman’s journey into motherhood. It involves a gathering of special women in your life who come together to provide a loving place for you. As a pregnant mama you are able to explore the challenges and joys that lay before you as you approach your birthing time. You will have the opportunity to gain a sense of power, confidence and support that will help before, during and after the birth of your bub.

The Blessingway can involve some lovely rituals including sharing of birth stories, making a birthing bracelet or necklace, decorating your belly with henna and hand/foot bathing.

After the ritual and ceremony the women are able to share in a feast as celebration of the upcoming birth.

The Blessingway is more than a baby shower - it provides you with lasting memories of a beautiful show of support and love from your dearest female friends and family. It's not about material gifts for your new bub but more about a sense of sisterhood.

I can help you plan the perfect personalisedcelebration for you at this very special time.
